One Reddit user, PxRedditor5, posted a video to the subreddit FortniteBR showing him spectating a bot. What appears like an avatar with a Battle Pass skin and pickaxe running at a wall, then it suddenly changes directions. Out of nowhere, the bot was teleported across the map into an open field.

The video confirms what many have suspected, that bots have certain buffs that Epic Games isn’t reporting in patch notes. Some players are still skeptical saying that the avatar could have been another player who they caught cheating. However, PxRedditor5 states that he couldn’t see a user name so there was no way of reporting the account.

PxRedditor5 wanted everyone to know that he wasn’t killed by this bot specifically. Rather that another set of players had just killed his team when the bot arrived and cleaned up the other team.

Many are saying that the bots will have an AI path-goal that they have to reach. And in this case, the goal was the center of the storm. When the bots are stuck somewhere impossible to reach they will automatically teleport to the checkpoint. The problem remains, however, why the bot didn’t just build a ramp to avoid the obstruction. Reddit user Grancop theorized that the coding would be too complicated to figure out how to get the bot to build. Perhaps the easiest way to get the bot out of a sticky situation is to just have it teleport.

Whatever the case may be, gamers may have just had a little more insight into how bots operate. If the bots are unable to build to avoid obstructions, it may account for players appearing where an area looked completely empty. This also could account for some of the easier kills when players face off and refuse to build.
