Gamers seem to have a mixed opinion on Fortnite, with some feeling as though it’s the best battle royale game of all time and others preferring to avoid it at all costs. This masterpiece made in Fortnite’s creative mode is bridging that gap, however, as most everyone seems to agree that it’s an impressive work of art.

The first image shows Princess Peach’s castle from the front. The façade of the castle looks incredibly similar to how it did in Super Mario 64, and dedicated fans of that game might notice that the surrounding area has even been molded to accomplish this. A river runs right in front of the castle with a bridge spanning over the gap, and gardens cover the rest of the area. The second picture shows the courtyard, complete with topiaries and a fountain in the center of it.

While the exterior is certainly impressive, the accuracy of the interior is even more so. The third picture shows the main hall of Princess Peach’s castle, and there’s so much to unpack here. The first thing players will notice is the large sun symbol on the ground, with a beam of sunlight shooting directly down onto it. The walls are adorned with classic Mario imagery like rolling green hills and clouds just like in Super Mario 64, there are the appropriate number of doors in this area, and the checkerboard floor completes the look in this room. The fourth and final picture shows off the basement of the castle, which is also impressive.

Fans are loving the recreation, as Super Mario 64 holds a special place in the hearts of many gamers. As the first 3D Mario game, it is still considered one of the best in the entire franchise. Oan_SMM heaps his own praise onto Fortnite’s creative mode, claiming that “creative mode has some potential to become one of the best free game editors of all time.”

Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
