Fortnite: Icy Grappler Location

To get right to it, players that are looking for the Icy Grappler should turn their attention toward Apres Ski. This landmark in Fortnite takes the form of a lodge, equipped with a bar and a dance floor, and it is situated to the southwest of Misty Meadows. For those players that may be unfamiliar with Apres Ski, its precise position has been marked on that map that is found below.

Upon arrival at the landmark, players should head to the aforementioned dance floor and speak with Fabio Sparklemane, a Fortnite Season 8 NPC that just so happens to be a pink unicorn. Talking to this character will cause several options to appear in the wheel at the bottom of the screen, and one of those options is to purchase the Icy Grappler exotic for 400 Gold Bars. Fans that have the requisite number of Bars should simply select that option and then confirm it to take possession of the weapon.

If a player finds themselves short on Gold Bars in Fortnite, it is recommended that they spend some time looting chests, smashing open cash registers and ATMs, and tearing apart beds and sofas. Indeed, these are all great sources for Gold Bars, and fans that target them should be able to amass the currency that they need to obtain the Ice Grappler fairly quickly. Additionally, players can accumulate Bars by completing bounties, which can be initiated at the Bounty Boards that are scattered across the map.

To note, the standard Grappler has also been unvaulted as part of the recent hotfix, and it can be found in chests and supply drops. While that item does not have the added functionality of the Icy Grappler, which allows players to slide after grappling, it can still be useful. Additionally, the ability to obtain Fortnite’s Grappler without spending any Gold Bars will make it an enticing option for players that are trying to stockpile the currency.
