With Venom: Let There Be Carnage on the horizon, Fortnite has decided to bring Marvel’s most popular symbiote back in all their toothy glory, and this time they brought company. The new Venom skin is known as the Eddie Brock Outfit and it comes complete with an alternate skin based on Tom Hardy’s portrayal of Eddie Brock. Players will be able to use a built-in emote to shift between the two characters.

A short promotional video shared to the official @FortniteGame Twitter account shows off Venom’s new transformation animations. The video begins with Eddie Brock standing in what appears to be a dark, graffiti-ridden alleyway, looking uncannily like a normal guy who isn’t quite sure why he’s here. Then he doubles over with an unsettling slurping sound and rises again as the massive and monstrous Venom. This is far from the first time Venom has appeared in a video game, but it may be one of the character’s most memorable outings.

The Eddie Brock Outfit will also feature all previously released Venom cosmetics, including the Symbiote Scythe Pickaxe, and is available for 2000 V-Bucks. Also making its return is the original Venom skin, which also comes with the Symbiote Scythe Pickaxe for the same price. Fortunately, players who already own the Venom bundle will be able to add Eddie Brock to the list for just 800 V-Bucks, so gamers probably won’t be forced to buy items twice. Fellow Symbiote Carnage has also arrived in Fortnite, which means Venom and Eddie will have otherworldly company in their new home.

As of writing, it appears that fans are tentatively pleased about the new Venom skin. The decision to make the Eddie Brock Outfit cheaper for players who already own the original Venom skin has been well-received, as has the new skin in general. One fan even went so far as to create a meme illustrating their satisfaction with the Eddie Brock Outfit.

Another user stated that all Fortnite needs now is Spider-Man and theorizes that he might be added in December. Unfortunately, a second user replied to note that Sony appears to be sitting on Spider-Man at the moment and may not allow Fortnite to use him in the near future.

In the meantime, Fortnite players can find the Carnage and Venom mythic weapon as part of Fortnite’s Season 8 festivities.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One. and Xbox Series X/S.
