From the looks of the trailer Dr. Doom and Chun-Li have very similar move-sets to their MvC2 counterparts, just as all the other characters from that were in the previous game. Whether that’s a good a bad thing is completely up to the personal preference of the player. Obviously characters newly joining the game have original fighting styles. As a special treat for those of you attending Comic-Con this year there will be a playable build of the game, including the four new characters.

So as of now, excluding the characters that are speculated to be present, the official roster consist of 14 characters.

Obviously the roster will expand as time goes by to at least 30 fighters.
Alongside the new trailer, Capcom has given us concept artwork for the four new fighters. Also notice the background emblem which shows off silhouettes of the roster.
